Questions

What we know, what we don’t know yet, and what we won’t guess.
Are you open yet?
Not yet. Slicio is coming soon to the Chicago suburbs. We don’t have an address, hours or prices to share, and we won’t make any up. When they’re real, they’ll show up here.
Who is behind Slicio?
Three high school seniors and a junior in the Chicago suburbs: Logan, Christian, Nino and Connor. Slicio is the company they started in their Incubator class.
How does the weekly menu work?
Four giant slices rotate in every week, and two permanent slices, The OG Pepperoni and The OG Cheese, never leave the board. The new lineup is revealed on Sunday night and runs Monday to Saturday. See the menu.
What is the Crust Club?
Our members program for ages 13 and up. Every slice you buy earns 1 crust. Six crusts earn a free slice. Buy a slice three weeks in a row and you earn a bonus crust. Members also vote on the Slice of the Month. How it works.
How does the Slice of the Month vote work?
Each Crust Club member gets one vote per month. The ballot lists slices from that month’s rotation and opens for the last 7 days of the month. The winner stays on the board for the whole next month. See this month’s ballot.
Can I rate a slice?
Yes. With a Slicio account you can give any slice on the board, and any slice that already ran, 1 to 5 stars, say whether you would order it again, and leave a short comment. You can change a rating any time. Only the team sees comments, and not who wrote them. Rating a slice does not earn a crust.
How does a class taste test work?
Scan the card on a pizza, rate it, and you earn 1 crust for your first rating of that pizza. At a tasting table the team may hand you a phone or tablet instead, where you tap stars with no sign-up. Those ratings have no name or account on them.
Can I order or pay online?
Not yet. Ordering and payment come at launch. Until then, nothing on this site is for sale.
Do you cater?
Catering is part of our launch plan. The inquiry form opens at launch. Catering details.
Will there be seating and drinks?
We’re planning mostly takeout with a few stools. Drinks will be cans and bottles from a grab-and-go fridge, with no soda fountain. These are plans, and they can change.
What about allergies?
Every slice and sauce lists the major allergens it contains. Use that list, and ask the team before you eat if you have a serious allergy. Cross-contact is possible in any kitchen that handles wheat, milk and egg.
What do you collect when I join the waitlist?
A first name and an email. A last name, a phone number, a birthday month and day and a nearest store are optional, and we never ask for a birth year. If you make a Slicio account, the privacy page lists what we store and how to delete it.
