Crust Club draft terms

Who can join

You must be 13 or older. If you are under 18, we suggest checking with a parent or guardian first. We ask for a first name and an email address, and a password if you make an account with an email. A last name, a phone number, a birthday month and day, and a nearest store are optional.

How crusts work

• Every slice you buy earns 1 crust.
• Buy at least one slice in 3 weeks in a row and you earn 1 bonus crust.
• 6 crusts earn 1 free slice.

The app and site keep your crust count. Which slices count toward a free slice, and which slices you can claim, aren’t decided yet.

Ranks

• Your rank comes from the paid slices you buy in the current calendar year. The calendar year runs from January 1 to December 31, Chicago time (America/Chicago).
• Only paid slices count. Free slices don’t count toward a rank.
• Everyone starts at Dough. You reach Sauce at 12 paid slices in a year, Cheese at 40, and Inner Crust at 100.
• You keep the highest rank you reach in a year through December 31 of the next year. On January 1 the count starts again at 0.
• A higher crust rate, such as double crusts at Inner Crust, starts with the purchases you make after you reach the rank, not before.
• Every rank gets the same vote: 1 vote per member per month for the Slice of the Month. A higher rank never means more votes.

Rank perks

• Sauce: 1 free side sauce with every order.
• Cheese: pre-ordering the new lineup on Sunday night, right after the reveal, once ordering exists. Also 1 free slice, credited the day you reach Cheese, once per calendar year.
• Inner Crust: double crusts (2 per paid slice). An invitation to the monthly tasting night, when we have a kitchen to host it. Once a year, a chance to pitch a slice: the team may pick one Inner Crust member’s slice for the board for one week. A yearly Inner Crust pin, when pins are available.

Tasting nights and pins start only when we can offer them. We can change, add or remove perks, and we can change the numbers above. We’ll post any change on this page before it applies.

Birthday slice

This is planned for when Slicio opens. It isn’t live yet, and nothing can be claimed today. We’ll say on this page when it starts.

• One free slice a year, on your birthday. It is good for 7 days: your birthday and the 6 days after it, Chicago time.
• You qualify only if your account and your birthday were both saved at least 3 months before that birthday. We count 3 months as 90 days.
• If you change your birthday, the 90 days start over from the day you change it. That is so a free slice can’t be had by making an account or typing in a birthday just before it.
• If your birthday is February 29, we celebrate it on February 28 in years that have no February 29.
• You add your birthday as a month and a day, never a year. It is optional.
• The birthday slice doesn’t change your crusts, your rank or your votes. It has no cash value.

No cash value

Crusts, free slices, ranks and perks have no cash value. They can’t be sold, traded, transferred or turned into cash.

Voting rules

• Each member gets 1 vote per month for the Slice of the Month.
• The ballot lists slices from that month’s rotation.
• The ballot opens for the last 7 days of the month.
• The winner is on the board for the whole next month.
• We may remove votes that look duplicated or fake.

Not decided yet

• Whether crusts expire, and when.
• How crusts and rank counts are handled if you return or refund an order, and whether refunded slices still count toward a rank.
• What happens to crusts if the program changes or ends.

We’ll settle these and publish them here before the Crust Club opens.
